Howe, Albion, 1841-1873.
Born in St. Augustine. Served in the volunteer artillery during the Civil War; afterward appointed to the regular army. Captain of the 4th U.S. Artillery; involved in the suppression of the Ku Klux Klan in North Carolina, 1871-1872, and in the Modoc Campaign, 1872-1873, during which he was killed.
