Simmons, Leonard.
Leonard Simmons was raised in Asheboro, N.C. and Eleazer, N.C. Both of his parents' families were from the Eleazer area. Mr. Simmons has two sisters and a brother. He is married and was 57 years old at the time of the interview. He lives in Eleazer but worked at Mid-State Paper Box Co. in Randleman, N.C. for over 38 years. He is the owner/operator of the True Bluegrass Music Hall in Eleazer. He also has a Saturday morning radio program on WKXR (1260 AM Kicks Country) in Asheboro. As a long-time resident Mr. Simmons sees changes to the area around Eleazer but would prefer that people would appreciate rural areas without ruining them.
