John A. Clark, Jr., was the son of John A. and Ellen Causey Clark. His genealogical notes concern families related to his parents. The families, primarily from Craven and Pitt counties, N.C., include the Bright, Whitford, Witherington, Clark, Brooks, Purifoy, Causey, Gwaltney, Wadsworth, Franks, Miller, Rhem, Stokes, Gaskins, and Gardner families.
