Organization for the 1st Religious Emphasis Week, Dec. 7-11, 1952, began in 1951. Designated College Religious Committee, 1954-1956. Members were appointed by the Dean of the College, Joe C. Jackson. W. Max Chambers served as honorary chairman. REW, 1954, sponsored by the Student Council, YMCA, YWCA, and the faculties and administration of Central State College with the cooperation of the Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs, Edmond, Okla. churches and pastors.
