Martin, William Harrison, 1823-1898
Variant namesWilliam Waddell Martin (1829-1896). A farmer in Pickens County, S.C. who served in Company F, 22nd South Carolina Infantry (1862-1863) and Company F, 1st South Carolina Cavalry (1863-1865) during the Civil War. Married Sarah Elizabeth Mills (1821-1911). They had ten children, including Sarah (or Sara) M. Susannah Martin Stewart (born 1846) and Silas Abraham Clayton (1875-1939).
