Board of Missions, Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A; org. in 1802 by the General Assembly as a permanent committee on home missions called the Standing Committee of Missions; changed in 1816 to the Board of Missions, by the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A.; in 1857 name changed to the Board of Domestic Missions.
