Albany County Historical Society (Wyo.)
Variant namesThe Albany County Historical Society was founded in 1931 by means of a Wyoming Statute. The first purpose of the society was to promote the Laramie Plains Historical Museum, which its members had helped to establish. The second purpose was to collect source material pertaining to the history of Albany County and the surrounding areas. The society also wanted its members to write articles, and give talks at local organizations and schools that would educate people about the history of Albany County.
