Gaylord, George W., 1833-1862
Variant namesGeorge W. Gaylord was born in 1833 in Ohio. He later moved to Hudson, Ohio, and resided at 189 Aurora Street, where he lived until his death. He served as a private in the 19th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Company K during the Civil War from August 8, 1861 to July 29, 1862. He was injured at the Battle of Shiloh and died at home in Hudson on July 29, 1862.
