Brown, John, 1610?-1679
Variant namesThe John Browne (or Brown) of this contract may be the Presbyterian minister who graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1630 and became minister of the parish of Wamphray, Scotland in 1655. He published many works on religious subjects. From 1662 until his death he was in prison or in exile for his opposition to King Charles II.
