The National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry, more commonly known as the Grange, was founded on December 4, 1867. The Grange is the oldest national agricultural organization in the nation.

It conitunes to seek to improve the economic and social position of the farm population. The Hurricane Grange, the 523 chapter of the national Patrons of Husbandry, organized in Hardin County, Tennessee in 1874. It is not known at what time the chapter ceased to function.
