Henry Corbin was a Fourth Sergeant who served the Confederate States of America in Company B of the 23rd Virginia Cavalry during the American Civil War. Corbin served from April 20, 1863, to September 22, 1864. He participated in the battle of Gettysburg (1 July - 4 July 1863), served with General Jubal A. Early in the Shenandoah Valley, and took part in a raid on Washington, D.C. (27 June - 7 August 1864). While serving with General Early, Sergeant Corbin participated in the battles of Lynchburg (18 June), Monacacy (9 July), Winchester (19 September), and at Fishers Hill (22 September) where he was killed in action.
