A native of Donaldsonville, La., Robert Nicholls Sims was an educator, lawyer, banker, businessman, and planter who was active in Louisiana politics during the early twentieth century. He managed the 1907 Louisiana gubernatorial campaign of Theodore Stark Wilkinson.
