Nehls, Ferdinand
Born in Germany, Ferdinand Nehls immigrated to the United States in 1855, eventually settling in Comal County, Texas, where he was a schoolmaster. During the Civil War, Nehls worked at the Headquarters of the Western Sub-District in Fort Brown, Texas.
