Powers, Anita,
Powers, a resident of Green Bay, Wisconsin, served in the WAVES during World War II.
After a year of college and a summer session of library science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Powers enlisted in the Navy, where she earned the rank of Storekeeper Third Class. After her discharge, she married an Army veteran and they adopted four children.
