Kristie Irene Macrakis (born March 11, 1958, Boston, Massachusetts – died November 14, 2022, Atlanta, Georgia), historian of science, author, and professor at Georgia Tech. She was known for her work at the intersection of history of espionage and history of science and technology.

Macrakis earned her PhD at Harvard University and taught as a lecturer there. She then spent time in Berlin for the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Chancellor's Scholar for Future Leaders program. In addition to her seven published books, she authored several articles, both scholarly and popular.
