Paynter, Raymond A.
Ornithologist (Ph.D., Yale, 1954). Paynter spent his entire career in the Museum of Comparative Zoology Bird Dept.: assistant curator (1953-1956); associate curator (1956-1960); curator (1961-1999). Served as president of Nuttall Ornithological Society, 1960-1963 and 1972-1975.
