Louise Williams was the Director of the Camp. She served as the advisor to the CMU Physical Education Club in 1944 and was a CMU professor of Physical Education and Education at least from 1944 to 1962. Jane McNamara was the Co-Director of the camp. The Camp was for CMU female student who were health majors and wanted to earn credit for a four-week summer session course while gaining practical camping experience. Camp attendees participated in tennis, archery, horse riding, canoeing, swimming, diving, and camping during their stay. Camps were held during June 30-July 27, 1945 and June 30-July 27, 1946. During part of the summer camp, campers visited Grace Hall-Hemingway's cottage on Walloon Lake (Mich.).
