Flinders, William Steer, 1869-1920.
Descendant of Samuel Ward Flinders, brother of Matthew Flinders. Son of Edward Alfred Flinders, member of the London Stock Exchange and foundation member of the Savage Club. Arrived in W.A. in 1887 and moved to the North-West where he served on the Roebourne Road Board, as Clerk of Courts, and was the first publican of the hotel at Bamboo Creek.
