Cornthwaite, Robert, Bp. of Beverley, d.1890.
Robert Cornthwaite, Catholic Bishop, was born in England and ordained the Canon of Hexham and Newcastle. Afterwards, he served as Rector for English College in Rome from 1851-1857. Named Bishop of Beverley in 1861, his diocese was then divided into that of Leeds and Middlesborough in 1879. He died on June 16, 1890.
