Whaling vessel; out of New Bedford, Mass., mastered by Thomas Adams Norton on voyage from 27 May 1838-16 Aug. 1840; owner-agent: Charles W. Morgan; built at New York in 1818; captured and later burned by the Confederate raider Shenandoah, at Ascension in 1866.
