American Committee for Resettlement of Polish Displaced Persons.
The American Committee for Resettlement of Polish Displaced Persons (ACRPDP) was formed in 1948 in affiliation with the Polish American Congress to aid in resettlement of Polish people then in European displaced persons camps. It represented several larger Polish American organizations. The ACRPDP had twenty-six state division committees, many local committees, and representatives in England and Germany. It continued to function after expiration in 1951 of the Displaced Persons Act (Public Law 774, June 1948,) in cooperation with the National Catholic Welfare Conference. Its operations ceased in 1968.
