Emslie, Peter, 1814-1887.
Born in Scotland; came to Buffalo in 1849. Served as chief engineer for the New York Central, Erie and Lake Shore railroads, and was elected to the position of city surveyor. Married the niece of Dr. Frank H. Hamilton.
