Duvall, Henry P.

Colonel Henry P. Duvall enlisted in the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) senior course in May 1960. He was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant when he graduated from Missouri School of Mines, 27 May 1962. He attended the Engineer Officers Basic Course at Fort Belvoir, Virginia and Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia. He was assigned to 511th Panel Bridge Company, and later the 39th Combat Engineer Battalion, both part of the 937th Combat Engineer Group. Duvall was promoted to 1st Lieutenant on 6 June 1964 and on 14 November 1964 assigned into the US Army Reserves (USAR), 104th Training Division, X Corps. He served numerous assignments in the 104th Training Division, at all levels, and was promoted through the ranks to colonel. His final assignment was at the Pentagon, Washington, D.C., under the Office of the Assistant Chief of Engineers (OACE) as the Chief of Staff, Executive Director, for the OACE. His final day of service, after thirty-two years, was 17 April 1992.
