Phyllice Bradner is a well-known artist and designer who has lived in Alaska for over 35 years. She grew up in Los Angeles where she worked for an advertising art studio after graduating from Los Angeles City College. She served as Art Director of two advertising agencies in Anchorage, ran her own communication consulting business for 17 years and was Publication Specialist for the Alaska Division of Tourism for 7 years. Phyllice also owned an antique shop, worked as an interior decorator, acted as political consultant and is known in Juneau for her architectural design work, including designing and coordinating the restoration of the Governor's Mansion, portions of the Capitol Building, and consulting on the Senate Building and Valentine Building.
