Scobey Extension.

Hide Profile

The Scobey Extension is a section of track built from Scobey to Opheim, Montana in 1925. As a condition under which GN agreed to build the extension, the people to be served by the line were required to subscribe for $304,200 of GN stock at par value to help finance the construction. 351 shares of the subscription could not be collected, and after repeated attempts to do so, a 1924 corporate resolution formally cancelled the unpaid subscriptions.
