Dottie Crummett Edwards was the author of a column in the Ontario, Oregon, Argus, and was said to be the first woman columnist to be published in an Oregon weekly newspaper. She was also a historian of the Malheur County Pioneer Association and editor of The Pioneer, a periodical published in Malheur County, Oregon.
