Woman's Missionary Society Union (Springfield, Ill.)
The Via Christi Study Class was a nondenominational women's club studying the footsteps of Christ in history, specifically the men, women, and events in history that contributed to the growth of Christian civilization. Open to any woman willing to to pay nominal dues and present papers, the group met twice monthly at the Lincoln Library in Springfield, Illinois from mid-October to late May or early June. Catharine (Mrs. Vachel T.) Lindsay was the group leader and Eliza Condell was its main secretary.
