University of Chicago. Comparative Education Center
The Center for Comparative Education at the University of Chicago opened in July, 1958. The purpose of the Center was to create a cross-cultural foundation for the branches of educational research. Its first director was C. Arnold Anderson. Early faculty included Robert J. Havighurst, Herman G. Richey, and Mary Jean Bowman.
