Beilby, Ralph, 1743-1817
Variant namesRalph Beilby was an English engraver who in 1767 accepted Thomas Bewick as an apprentice. They became partners in 1777; that partnership was dissolved in 1798. Bewick was noted as a wood engraver and ornithologist.
