Leon Hamilton (1911-1996) played and managed a House of David, professional basketball, team from 1935-1952. During this time, he held a number of positions in minor league baseball. By 1949, he was scouting professional baseball players for the New York Yankees. The balance of his career was spent with the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, and Cleveland Indians. He retired from the Indians organization in 1986.
