Joseph Walden & Co. (Charleston, S.C.)
Merchant of Charleston, S.C.; son of Samuel Walden and brother of Jacob and Thomas Walden, who were merchants in business together in New York City who traded in commodities such as tobacco, molasses, cotton and wine; according to the Jacob Walden letter book, 1804-1806 (held by the New-York Historical Society) Joseph Walden's business travels included work in Lisbon (Portugal) and Bordeaux (France) as well as Charleston, S.C.
