McCormick, Alta.
Alta McCormick was the wife of Cyrus Ross McCormick. Cyrus Ross McCormick, from Lebanon, Oregon, graduated from Oregon Agricultural College (OAC) in 1906 with a BS in Mining. After graduation, he worked briefly as an Assistant Assayer in Carson City, Nevada. By 1909, he had returned to Lebanon and was a farmer and cattleman. John R. McCormick, also from Lebanon, graduated from OAC in 1905. In 1931, he was a building contractor in Portland. John and Cyrus may be brothers.
