Lockwood, Barbara Thornton.
The Ann Pillsbury Consumer Service Kitchens were established at the Pillsbury Company (Minneapolis) in 1945 in order to develop and test recipes using Pillsbury products, to promote Pillsbury products and recipes to consumers, especially homemakers, and to provide consumer support and education services. By the late 1960s, the program employed about fifty home economics professionals and other staff and answered more than 30,000 consumer queries each year.
