Gillis, Edward, 1920-1999
Born in Leominster, Mass., later moving to Portland, Me.; veteran of World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and Combat Infantry Badge. He was a sergeant with the "Heavy Motor Division", 119th Infantry Regiment, and was injured in the south of France in 1944, becoming a paraplegic.
