Deputy Sheriff of Middlesex County, Mass. (first appointed 1812); Deputy Jailer at Middlesex County jail in Concord (1815-1843); successful merchant and businessman; resident of Sudbury, Stow, and Concord. Moore's estate was administered by Concord lawyer Nathan Brooks.

Deputy Sheriff of Middlesex County, Mass. (first appointed 1812); Deputy Jailer at Middlesex County jail in Concord (1815-1843); successful merchant and businessman; resident of Sudbury, Stow, and Concord. Born in Sudbury, 1777; died in Concord, 1848. Married Ruth Goodnow, 1801. Moved to Stow about 1812, to Concord 1814. Dealer in real estate; owner of farm in Concord (taken over by son John Brooks Moore upon his death). Involved in Middlesex Society of Husbandmen and Manufacturers, Concord Mill Dam Company, Concord Steam Mill Company, Middlesex Institution for Savings, Concord Bank.
