Hager, Harry James, 1899-1983.
Harry Hager graduated from Hope College in 1920 and from Western Theological Seminary in 1924. Hager served several pastorates during his career, most notably Bethany Reformed Church in Chicago (1929-1975). Radio outreach was a significant part of Hager's work and he served as a pioneer in the emerging media ministry. Hager began with the Sunday afternoon Bethany Bible Broadcast (1933) and later was featured on a daily "family alter" program each morning. From 1944-1977 he broadcast Sunday evening services on Chicago radio station WCFL.
