Butterfield family.
The Butterfield Saddlery Co. was run by the Butterfield family, namely Tom and Marie. Marie Butterfield, known as Grandma Butter, also converted an adobe home in Magdalena in the 1920s into a "laying in" - a makeshift hospital where women from all around could come to give birth for a fee.
