David Abbot was a pioneer and legislator in the Western Reserve. He was the first settler of Willoughby, Ohio, sheriff of Trumbull County, land agent for Aaron Olmstead of the Connecticut Land Co., a delegate to the Ohio Constitutional Convention, an Ohio legislator, and Clerk of Courts and Treasurer of Huron County.
