Burkhart, J. B., Mrs,
Daughter of Milton Hale, pioneer of 1845, who was the first ferryman on the Santiam and founder of the "ghost city" of Syracuse. Mrs. Burkhart was the sister of Sarah Ann (Hale) Hannon who was the wife of Elijah Hannon.
