Alice W. Reins was a high school librarian living in Baltimore, MD in the early 1900s.

Miss Reins began working on a bibliography of the Birney Anti-Slavery Collection for the Department of History, The Johns Hopkins University. Miss Reins was unable to finish the work, and it was not until 1985 that a printed bibliography was produced. "The Birney Anti-Slavery Collection of the Johns Hopkins Univerrsity" is now available in Special Collections.
