Specializing in cataract surgery, Dr. Roy is highly regarded for his research and writing in the field of ophthalomology. He was the leading force in the formation of the World Eye Foundation, a non-profit organization established to foster eye care in the third world. His interest outside medicine is history and historic preservation. He has restored several historic structures in Little Rock, AR. He ran unsuccessfully for the office of Lt. Governor of Arkansas in 1986.
