Robert L. Hardgrave is the Louann and Larry Temple Centennial Professor Emeritus in the Humanities at the University of Texas at Austin, specializing in the domestic and international politics of South Asia. Hardgrave grew up in West Texas and attended UT for his Bachelors Degree and the University of Chicago for his Masters Degree and Doctorate in Political Science. He taught at Oberlin College in 1966 before leaving to teach at UT from 1967 until his retirement in 2001.
