Letters from James W. Davidson to Miles Greenwood, 1931, 1938-1945. The early letters were written from Oamaru and Wellington in New Zealand. From October 1938 onwards they were mostly written from Cambridge, where Davidson was a student and later fellow at St John's College. The letters refer to the writing of his doctoral thesis, research, books, social life at Cambridge and travels in England. There is also a diary kept by Greenwood on a cycling holiday with Davidson in Ireland and England, July-August 1939.
