Families united by the marriage of Oliver Edwards to Ann Johnston of Warsaw, Illinois. Edwards, a Springfield, Massachusetts, native was brevet-major General of the 37th Massachusetts Infantry in the Civil War, and later a Warsaw, Illinois, businessman.
The father of Ann Johnston Edwards, John E. Johnston was a Warsaw merchant.
