Brown, Tabitha Moffett, 1780-1858.
Tabitha Moffett Brown lived in Missouri until 1846, when as a widow with her children she moved to Oregon. In 1848 she and several others founded a school, which in 1849 was incorporated as Pacific University. Brown died during the summer of 1858.
