The Operations Division of Texas Tech University is in charge of four service sectors: Environmental Health and Safety, Grounds Maintenance, Physical Plant and Traffic and Parking.

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Department is responsible for planning, implementing, and administering the University's health and safety program. Primary functions include identifying and reducing health and safety hazards through compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The mission of Grounds Maintenance is to provide an aesthetically safe and functional campus for all students, faculty, staff, and the community.

The Physical Plant is a responsible for the planning, construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair of university buildings and facilities; and the provision of utilities, vehicle rental, refuse collection, custodial and other services.

Traffic and Parking Services issues parking campus permits, monitors incoming and outgoing campus traffic, and the issuance of traffic violation tickets.
