The Interinstitutional Committee on Finance and Accounting was created by the Board of Regents for the universities in the State University System of Florida. It was composed of the chief financial officer at each state university and staff members of the Board of Regents. The main objective of the committee was to create financial uniformity among the state universities. Its task was to prepare a uniform operating manual for all university offices of finance and accounting.
