Tompson, Frederick A., 1857-1919
Architect, of Portland, Me.; originally a partner in the office of F.H. Fassett; in 1891 began his own office at Exchange Street and later in the Y.M.C.A. building. Works included commercial and civic buildings, hotels, libraries, and schools, as well as private homes for Portland's most prominent and successful citizens; also designed buildings outside of the Portland area, including Saco, Brunswick, Pittsfield, and Scarborough.
