American cartoonist. Drew under the name of George Lauren from 1945-1948. While in the U.S. Army (1948-ca.1957), his cartoon books Here comes the honeywagon and You better believe it (featuring the character "Red Wun") were published by The Stars and Stripes for the Armed Forces. Since 1979 has been drawing freelance for major U.S. publications (American Legion, Wall Street Journal, New York Daily News Magazine, McCall's, Good Housekeeping, Ladies' Home Journal, The National Enquirer, Reader's Digest, etc.).
