Smith, Benjamin H., fl. 1859-1865.
In 1859 Benjamin H. Smith joined the Richmond Howitzers. In June 1862 he was promoted to Captain of Co. 3. Smith was wounded in Oct. 1862. In Aug. 1863 he was placed under arrest and tried to bring his case before a court martial.
